Roz Varon ’80 Signs Books and Tells Stories On January 19, President Kwang-Wu Kim hosted a very special reception and conversation with Roz Varon ’80, ABC7 Chicago’s traffic anchor. Dozens of alumni, faculty, staff, and friends gathered as Roz shared stories and signed copies of her new book, On the Road with Roz: Adventures in Travel and Life.
Columbia Celebrates Black History Month On February 6, Alumni Relations hosted a panel of distinguished alumni in honor of Black History Month. The event was held at the college’s Semester in LA facility at Raleigh Studios and featured a panel of acclaimed directors, producers, actors, and writers.

Another Columbia Alum Joins The Chi Ayanna Floyd Davis MFA ’98 will join The Chi as an executive producer and showrunner. The Chi was created by Lena Waithe ’06, and is currently airing on Showtime.
