Request Your New Alumni Card Today

Fill out the online alumni card form to get access to benefits and services including: complimentary access to select campus resources listed below, local business discounts, and other special offers.

The new photo ID alumni cards will begin being made Oct. 1. It is only recommended for alumni to order a new photo ID alumni card if they plan to visit the Chicago campus and use the computer labs.

New photo ID alumni cards WILL NOT be mailed. Alumni photo ID cards are only given to alumni who complete an application and are approved. All applications take 3 – 5 business days to process before alumni can come to the card office to take their pictures and pick up their cards.

Open Computer Lab Access*

Some restrictions and usage limitations do apply. Access is restricted to only the following Open Computer Lab:

To access the library you must show your Alumni Card and a valid state ID. If you have not received one, you can obtain an Alumni Card by filling out this form. Forms will take 3 – 5 business days to process.

 * Code of Conduct – Alumni shall treat all Columbia staff, faculty, students, fellow alumni, and other visitors to the Open Computer Labs, Library, and/or any space on campus with respect, and shall refrain from engaging in disruptive or otherwise inappropriate behavior. Columbia College Chicago reserves the right to suspend or terminate the aforementioned privileges at any time.

College catalogs and course descriptions can be obtained on the college's website.

College catalogs from 1925 to 2009 are available in the College Archives. Beginning with the 2010 academic year, the college catalog was only produced in digital format. Catalogs from 2010 to the present are at

Campus Space Rental Policy and Fees

All alumni events must be approved Development and Alumni Relations. All required documents must be filed with Space & Scheduling who can be reached via   

Alumni events hosted by alumni who have or have not obtained a degree from the college and are partnered with an academic department are considered partner events, and are subject to partner event procedures.

Degreed alumni not partnered with an academic department will receive a 50% discount off space rental fees listed below, but will incur the full costs for additional staffing, building hours extensions, and extra security if needed.

Alumni who have not obtained a degree from the college and are not partnered with an academic department, will be charged at the full rate for space rental and staffing fees.

Please note the ability to host non-college events is limited due to staffing, space, and other factors.

Please note that rates are subject to change.


Security Policy:

The college reserves the right to determine the level of security needed for each event.

All events must pay for security at the rate of $35/hr.

Additional security requires a fee of $35/hr. per guard.


For events taking place during standard building hours, there is no extra charge unless the event warrants additional security.


For all events taking place outside standard building hours, an extended building request must be submitted along with the Extra Security Form if required.The Extended Building Hours Fee include an officer, housekeeper and building engineer.


Columbia College asks that event hosts plan ahead and make security arrangements no later than 1 week prior to the event.
