Dear Alumni –
An old proverb teaches us that home is where the heart is. I don’t know if I ever understood those words more than I do now. From the very first moment I walked on campus for my introductory interview with President Kwang-Wu Kim, I felt an undeniable connection with the uniqueness and creative passion that defines this institution. Simply stated, my heart knew Columbia College Chicago was home for me.
I am proud and excited to serve as your Vice President of Development and Alumni Relations. I believe we share the same goals. Our aim will be to foster engaging programs that serve you professionally, personally and socially. Equally important, we will seek your investment of time, talent and treasure in support of the mission of Columbia College Chicago with an emphasis on supporting students and faculty.
Achieving these goals will not be easy; the most meaningful things in life never are. Our success will hinge on a fully committed and involved alumni community. And, our work starts today.
In closing, thank you for the outpouring of support over the past two weeks. My family and I are pleased to return to our native Illinois. It’s great to be home!
With tremendous respect and appreciation,
