Dance students were treated to a visit by Broadway star and alum, Aaron Nelson (BA '12)
Columbia College Chicago recently welcomed alumnus and The Lion King star Aaron Nelson (BA ’12) back to campus. Aaron plays the role of adult Simba in Disney’s The Lion King, which is the highest grossing Broadway musical in history. Aaron was excited to return to campus and share his Broadway experience with current Columbia students. He and two of his cast-mates spent an afternoon talking to Dance students about how the three of them made it in musical theatre, the bumps along the way, and how young musical theatre actors and dancers can stay positive throughout their own creative journeys. After this insightful talk, Aaron and his cast-mates attended the “Express Your Mess” Dance student showcase in The Dance Center.
