Shapiro’s historic show is the first Broadway production written by an Asian-American playwright.

Eleven community college transfer students were awarded generous gifts to continue their higher education at Columbia, including one full-tuition scholarship.

Bringing more than 30 years of experience in higher education administration, Joseph will helm the college’s admissions and student financial services offices.  

Dance Center at Columbia Grants Discounted Tickets to Teen Arts Program
The Center is offering $5 tickets to Chicago’s Urban Gateways Teen Arts Pass program, which makes the arts more accessible to youth.  

Alumni Get Free Submissions to Chicago Feminist Film Festival
Submissions for the Chicago Feminist Film Festival are free for Columbia alumni via FilmFreeway or Withoutaboxthrough November 1. For a fee waiver code, email skerns@colum.edu. The Festival is looking for short films (30 minutes or less) of any genre created since March 2017. The 2019 Chicago Feminist Film Festival will take place February 27-March 1 at Film Row Cinema, and more information can be found at chicagofeministfilmfestival.com.
